Monte Carlo Sand path, or no sand path?

Hi all, this is my iwagumi style tank I recently built. I’ve always fancied a sand path running through the middle… I have a bag of la plata sand, however the tank is 60cm and with the rock layout it leaves little room for plants. I’ve chosen to go with Monte Carlo. would a sand path take too much space away for planting? or would it be a good idea.

It'll work its way through your aquasoil over time, Also I find them a little tacky BUT that's just a personal opinion of course.

don't see why you couldn't do it, you may want to consider small soil dividers, which you could make DIY from thin plastic etc, to combat as much mixing over time
