marsilea hirsuta

I have just bought 2 pots of marsilea hirsuta to make a carpet. The pots I have bought, have plants that are around 10cm tall. How do I go about trimming these to make them low enough to start a carpet?

Just plant them new growth will be smaller single leaves then you can trim the taller stuff out takes a while to get going

That's great - So, basically.....just separate them into separate plantlets, allow them to grow, and then trim the tops off?

Just trim out the long stems you don't want once the plant starts sending out runners the new growth I've found is low enough just needs to thicken up then for that carpet effect
