Hi all.
Thanks for the add . Some of you may have already had some form of interaction with me on the Facebook groups but being as I've found so much information using this platform from Google searches , I thought I'd sign up.
I've kept tanks for almost 30 years but only 8 weeks being a planted tank hobbyist, so still a lot to learn . I won't bore you with pics of my amateur effort but it's getting there. Looking forward to learn with you all.

Don't be shy, with 30 years experience in the hobby i feel like i could definitely learn something off yourself and not the other way round!

Not where plants are concerned my friend. I'm relatively low tech at the moment . I've decided to move along slowly and upgrade as I go. There's no c02 my tank but that's my Christmas present sorted.

You said we wouldn’t be interested in your amateur efforts. I’d say this looks pretty good. You’ve framed the scape with the tall wood, delineated Front and rear with the use of stone, and the selection of plants looks great. Very nice starting knowledge to build on I would say. I’ve just joined too and I’m in the process of buying tank and other materials so it will be interesting to follow your threads when you get started. 👍

Thankyou for the encouraging comment. That photo was about 3 weeks ago. I only had my original fluval aquasky on it but yesterday I added a fluval plant 3.0 to compliment it too. I'm not worried about any stronger just yet as I don't have c02 and my plants are all low - medium tech . Ill expand my lighting as my plant intensity requires.
