Hi all I'm in the process of setting up a small 65ltr tank for my daughters room and really wanted to try a dirt substrate. I am planning on using westlands aqua soil capped with a mixed size gravel. My real concern is I live in a soft water area where my pH is 6.8 and my total hardness is 37.6 mg/l, my concern is I have read that these soils can decrease PH. I plan to plant heavily and go for an Asian community tank but I am concerned of the pH going to low. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is the first tank I have had in a long time and I hope the start of a few more
