Low Tech Nano Aquascape: No Maintenance

Here is an update of my low tech nano aquascape.

I've done nothing since i set it up a month ago except top up evaporated water. Shrimp are breeding very fast which is nice.

All accidental. I've just not had time to do anything to the tank.

I started to get a decent amount of green dust algae on the glass and kept thinking "i must find two minutes to clean that". Week later it was almost all gone from the "pest" snails. Brilliant little workers!

Definitely. It's all trimmings from my main discus tank so didnt cost anything to pack it out.

Hard to believe no CO2 in there.

No co2, felts or anything. It has a good layer of tropica aquasoil, thats it.

No heating and a tiny little internal filter in the corner behind the riccia mountain.

Plants are going great guns despite the temperature then. I have found the same thing in my nano
