Low tech hydrocotyle question

So I love hydrocotyle leucocephala and it grows like mad but I was wondering if tripartita is the same? I want a very loose covering along a section of the tank, my pennywort does that now but obviously the leaves are quite large, just looking at the smaller version in tripartita and wondering if it is happy in low tech or does it require co2 etc?
Im not looking for a dense true carpet, more like a gradual creep along the floor of the tank. If not ill stick to brazilian pennywort but thought I would ask and see if anyone has experience of tripartita in low tech

I've only had it for 3 months but in my high and low energy tanks. Much better in high energy, the growth explodes. Low is perfectly fine but much slower growth and I have found that it does prefer moderately highish light even without CO2. You'll have to periodically push it into the substrate to get a carpet as it doesn't have rigid stems and so will waft up and float in the water column. Trim stems not the leaves / branches like you would most carpeting plants
