Hi guys,
Seeing as I'm about to take the plunge and set up my first planted tank, I thought it's about time I introduced myself! My name is Nick and I'm a serving solider from Bolton. Having recently returned from Afghan I have some cash burning a hole in my pocket and a planted tank seems like the idealy way to spend some of it. I've been keeping fish for close to three years now with my current tank being an Elos Mini set up as a marine nano at my parents. 25 and still technically living at my mums... ugh.
I'm looking to buy a complete ADA setup but I'm torn between the Mini M or the 60-P. If I'm honest, I'm leaning towards the 60-P for a bit more flexability with what I could do with it. I still have quiet a few questions about equipment to use with it, such as external filters and lighting options. Where would be the best place to ask these? Knock up a journal thread and stick 'em all in there?
Anyhows, enough ramblings for me. UKAPs looks like a nice friendly forums and I'm looking forward to getting stuck into the hobby.
Cheers guys.
