Is it worth buying liquid C02, if so which one, I’ve seen quite a few different brands,

As a CO2 substitute, no. As an algaecide to manage BBA, possibly.

“Liquid CO2” is not a substitute for CO2.
It’s a total scam that companies suggest it is.
Products sold as liquid co2 are normally bottles of the chemical glutaraldehyde.
