Bonjour, ca va? (thats my french done, which is bad because I work for a French company)

I dont know if 4 is enough, I have my lights on for 6 hours

You dont want liquid CO2 and injection CO2, choose one or the other (as far as I know). I see more growth from injected CO2

You will also want plant food. I used to use a flourish plant food product and TNC complete. Now I have changed to using the 'EI' system.

Thank you monsieur
I start to 4 hours and add 1 hour all 2 days
I have flourish

This is what you need for plants to grow:
  • Light
  • CO2
  • Nutrients
These 3 need to be balanced, or your plants will suffer the consequences...

Flourish Excel is a form of organic CO2 and does not provide any form of nutrients for the plants.

For nutrients you have Macro nutrients (Nitrates, Phosphates, & Potassium) which are the ones that plants consume more, and Traces or Micro Nutrients (Iron, Copper, Zinc, Magnesium... etc, etc) which plants only need in small amounts.

So, if you have lots of light, a bit of CO2, and no nutrients, your plants will die! The more CO2 and light you have, the more nutrients the plants will need.

You can add CO2 gas and keep using flourish excel, or you can just stop using excel... but with no nutrients, you won't get good results.

thank you for advices
I have flourish for micro elemenst traces nutrients
flourish excel for liquid carbon
potassium (K) JBL
CO2 gas
that's what I think add led ramp for a good balance
my ramp have 10 x 2 w 100/150 lm total 20 W _1000/1500 Lm for 40 Liters It's bit fair no ?

I don't think you need it... but if you really want to spend the money, I would buy a Chihiros A Series from our sponsors @Hinterfeld.com . It comes with a dimmer and I don't remember seeing/reading about anyone using them at full strength.

For a 45cm tank there is the Chihiros A451, which is less than €35:
  • Lamp dimension : W440 x D60 x H10mm
  • Luminous Flux: 4350lm.
  • Power consumption: 27W
  • LED: white, 81pcs.

thank you Ive see the chihiros but 4350lm + my actual ramp(2000lm) = invasion of algae !!!
I bought the same ramp

Specifications:

  • Size: 60cm (2ft) tanks
  • Light Source: LED 2W x 10pcs
  • Colour Temperature: 7000k
  • Lumen Output: 100-150lm/LED

approximate total 2500 lm for my 50 Liters tank ,good balance lm/ liter water ?
