Limnophila

Hello,

Complete beginner here so please be patient with me 🙂

I set up a 58l tank three weeks ago and planted some of the Tropica Limnophila sess. into Tropica plant soil. It has now started to grow aerial roots - please could some one tell me if this is normal or if its a bad sign? The plants look very healthy and I have had to trim the tops off already due to how quickly they have grown. I don’t dose co2 but have added the Tropica premium nutrition. I wouldn’t class the lighting as high spec but the leds certainly are bright enough to my very untrained eye.

Hi I’m beginner too but in my experience if you cut the plant just before the next set of leaves you can plant this cutting and the aerial shoots will take root and you’ll have free new plant 👍 i do that often to avoid they becoming all leggy.
