I am looking for Lily Pipes for Ehem Classic 150 filter in my 37L nano tank. What should be the thickness of the lily pipes that will fit in that filter?

I recently ordered some glass lily pipes for a oase FiltoSmart 60 which happens to use 9mm hoses. I found them on aliexpress sine noone sells them here. Quality seems absolutely fine.
You can order individual inflow and outflow pipes, so it's just a matter of selecting the correct size for each pipe respectively.

That sounds good. I’ve mostly seen sets, and then only in 12/16 or 16/22.

Thinking about it you could perhaps use 12/16 hoses on the Classic 150 with a 9/12 adapter for the outlet. Not sure how it might effect performance though? I used to run a 16/22 inlet hose on my classic 250 with an adapter years ago.
I had a look at the specs of the classic 600 a while back and was quite surprised that whilst the inlet is 16/22 the outlet hose is only 12/16.

My preference is stainless steel but for this small tank I am ok with the glass too as long as it’s durable. In plastic if it’s transparent premium polycarbonate I can go for it

I find it surprising that manufacturers don't use polycarbonate or acrylic instead of fragile glass pipes. It's not that I am going to drop those pipes on the floor. But when those pipes are mounted on the brackets trying to adjust height or orientation can cause crack on. I handle things carefully, but I know the feeling with my acrylic CO2 diffuser when I try to change the orientation of diffuser which is mounted on fragile "U"

Polycarbonate is very tough, acrylic is quite brittle. The best looking pipes IMO are glass - but only when they’re spotlessly clean. They don’t stay that way for very long though. Second best, and I think they look great, is stainless steel. You obviously can’t see the inside so they look good for much longer. Even when I have cleaned the inside not much gunk comes out anyway. Perhaps the lack of light keeps them cleaner, longer? I have both 12/16 and 16/22 pipes on my two tanks and wouldn’t use anything else at this point.
If they invent self cleaning unbreakable glass pipes I’ll buy a set!

I’m running an Eheim Classic 350 on an Eheim 37L Nano with 12/16 stainless pipes. I was running a Classic 250 before that with the same pipes. I got the 350 because it was a really good price on Amazon.

You have to go up to the Classic 600 to see a change in hose sizes again. The outlet stays at 12/16, whilst the inlet goes up to 16/22.

Isn't it an overkill for such a small tank? I use Eheim Classic 250 for my 90L tank. If it's not sufficient for that mid sized tank, I can buy Eheim Classic 350 and use 250 for my small tank.

You would think that an Eheim Classic 350 is overkill for a 37L Nano but I’ve found in practice it isn’t.
Manufacturers quoted output is 620L an hour but you can half that in practice. I also put sponges over the intake pipes on my tanks so that reduces flow as well, especially once it gets a bit clogged. I have a fairly fine sponge on the 37L so it needs rinsing once a month. What is overkill is the volume of the canister at 4.8L, you really don’t need that amount of media for a 37L. I just use sponges and a little Siporax, the top third is empty.

I’m running a Biomaster 350 on my 60L and that sounds far too big but once again the flow is fine. Again though the canister volume is well OTT so I bought a 250 housing for it instead and it still has more media space than needed on my tank.

I’m considering getting a 90P at the moment to replace the two Nano’s. If I do I’ll likely run both the Eheim and the Biomaster on it.

I'm in the same boat. Biomaster 600 in a 60cm tank (84 liters). Flow is too strongly for the fish I have, but a poppy style lily pipe outflow fixes that nicely. I run the filter the same way I do on my 160L tank. No harm in having a lot of biomedia. 😀

I fitted a 250 housing to my 350 to make it easier come maintenance time. It’s smaller and lighter.
