Hi I'm day 26 in with my planted tank, I've cut back huge growth from my aponogeton, and echinodorus belheri and seen great growth on tenellus, crypts and even Anubis. But my lilaeopsis brasiliensis has shown no signs of growth 🙁 any advice on what to do much appreciated. Maybe just pull it out and try heleri or something 😉 I know it's known as a slow grower but this is mad. At least it hasn't shown signs of dying. No algae on the leaves either. So still some hope. What to do? Everything else is growing fine...

See all that substrate in the middle front, with a few green sprouts...lol rest is lush!

- and IF you decide to invest in another pot or two.........don't divide it too much. When growing in less than optimal conditions, it's benefitial to divide pot in sections, larger than usually recommended.
A trick wih Lill. brass. is to "pull" portions out, instead of cutting them out. This way the portion will be one or a few strings of connected plant-mass........having more "collective recourses" and therefore more likely to get growing faster.
- and I agree with Tom; when growing Lill. brass. patience is defenitely a virtue, that pays off 🙂

I'd definitely invest in more pots, and don't trim. It's difficult to tell from the image but it does look like it's over shadowed a bit by the other plants. It usually does well in all sorts of conditions but perhaps access to a little more of the available light wouldn't do any harm.

Thank you everyone for your advice. Injustbhad a major trim back today of all the other plants. So it's getting much more light now. I will look on the for sale part of this website to see if anyone has any bargains going. I did only use one potato start with. I didn't trim and don't want to trim it just watch it spread but so far I've had at the most 2 new leaves! I have literally a bucket of trimmings from other plants lol patience and add more it is then!
