Hi

I'm going to buy a new tank once i move house id just like to sort out the lighting so i can grow some nice plants/carpet,

The tank i really like is Marina Premium 84 http://uk.hagen.com/Marina-Premium-
W80 x H37 x D30cm (including canopy) Unless i find something i prefer.

It all ready has a build in LED but i'm guessing this is going to be fairly poor judging by the price, so ive been looking in to upgrades

I have a pressurized co2 setup already from an old nano tank.
I was thinking maybe 2x Aquaray 400 mini'shttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xT2zDlRG4mM
or maybe
CURRENT USA SATELLITE PLUS PRO 45watt, hopefully i can get one shipped to where i live.

If anybody has any ideas or suggestions i would be grateful.

I will use the basic light first off to see how it runs but i would like to be prepared with everything needed.

Thanks.

Hi Con,

Welcome to UKAPS.

I have the same tank 54 and am happy with it. I know its doesnt have high specs but I couldn't afford anything more exp.
The stock light was too low to grow anything so I bought a universal LED and that works wonders. I am now struggling to reduce the light intensity. 🙄

Yes i like the look of the cabinet with the white tank, also the deal is fairly good for both at my LFS. Not sure whats worse not enough light or to much, guess you can leave it off for longer!

Hopefully planning on changing to an external filter also and a small powerhead.

Been looking around and I've found 3 really good options at a good price just not sure what will be best.

Or

Both led's look good I think I like the 1st one or 3rd for aesthetics.

Not sure if the t5 will be better but looks like it will be more expensive to run and might be to much light.
