Light for custom tank

I am looking to get a 140cm tank from ND Aquatics (I wanted to use aquariums4life but they don't do custom sizes) with an open hood/pelmet and sliding glass cover.

It's going to be a high tech tank so was looking at getting a chihiros wrgb2 pro but I'm a bit unsure how it would fit above the tank.

Ideally I would want the light unit hidden in the hood (still above the glass).
Does anybody have any experience sitting a light like this on top of a hooded tank?

I have a ND tank with sliding glass covers and pellet hood. I also use a WRGB universal as it’s waterproof.

The pelmet hood has a protruding frame that sits high above the glass covers. You can mount the light on this so it’s high above the glass cover and you can still open the pelmet lid while the light remains in place.

Don’t attach it to the actual lid or you will get an eye full of light whenever you open it to feed.

Thanks! I'll have a look into the universal, it looks quite a bit less powerful than the wrgb2 though. I have a none pro on my 60x45x45cm tank and I'm able to get it almost to full power (just got the green a little bit down).
I wonder if I can do something similar to the above with the wrgb if I get the open hood.

Another option I'm considering is hanging a vivid or week aqua light over but it's in the living room and don't want the glare from the actual light unit in my eyes whilst sat down.

Chihiros WRGB universal is a good shout, and they do a 1200, which you’ll need to order. I got mine from Aquarium Gardens and it’s a great light. My growth is more compact now and the colours of both fish and plants is great. It’s not as powerful as the WRGB2 pro, but I run it at only 60% with CO2 in a deep tank - 65cm

Best to list all the tanks dimensions.
140 (55") X... X
And height of the hood.
I like Littles attachment system. It would make mounting lights the "opposite" way easy..
Actually I'd use like a wood 2x2 cleat and slot it to fit the "feet"
That way you can slide the lights r/left as needed.
If you split the glass in half you can work on like left side after sliding the lights right..

So that gets me to the other suggestion.. More small lights placed front to back.

I don't have it yet, just I have been talking to ND regarding costs. I'm weighing up the lighting opens before pulling the plug because I might get something smaller if it's more practical from a lighting point of view.

I have a quote for a 54"(or 55) x 24" (height) x 22".
If there is a brace in the middle and option may be to get two smaller lights.

Clear glass brace or opaque? Or none.. These things matter.

24" wide or 22" wide or 36"wide all matter to choosing a light.

Practical from a lighting point of view is 48" long 😉

Using 18" lights or 24" lights the wide way .matters
