Lazy newbie.

Hi,

What's the most easiest, novice, newbie way to start an keep a planted tank?
Until I've found my feet.

What substrate?
Do I need CO2?

I was thinking of using tropica stuff. That seems easy to use.

Don't go mad with lighting.
Tropical soil is also pretty good ime,but could be pricey if the tank is large ?

You don't need CO2 to get a planted tank, just go low tech and pick your plants with care.

I set up a little "plug and play"type tank as a rescue job for 6 cory.
My intent,from the start..was for it to be as little time consuming as possible.
I used sand substrate and planted quite heavily with swords,crypts,moss and a lotus lily.
Total maintenance per week is about 10 mins,although i did remove the moss,because trimming and collecting up the bits is time consuming.
I also removed the lily,because it filled the tank.
