Lazy Assassin Snails...

I bought two assassin snails last month and to be honest they seem to have killed more shrimp than pest snails (bladder snails).

Iv been trimming some plants recently and all i find is leaves covered in eggs.

Beside me taking the snails out one by one or crushing them is there anything that will eat the snails?

Colomesus asellus is a snail eater. Exept if there aren't enough snails, you might need to trim it's teeth every now and then.

Candy loaches or checkerboard loaches love eating snails.
Although the main cause of your pest snail explosion is probably down to over feeding.🙂

I have an assassin too, I've no idea how many they actually chomp through but the population does seem to have slowed. I don't think you can ever completely rid them.

I've not experienced it bother any shrimp. I actually saw a shrimp sitting on its back earlier 😀
