Hello,

I'm going to be rescaping my tank. I'm pretty sure that the aquatic compost is depleted. Recently successfully fought off black beard algae, over a number of months.

This time around I'm trying a different organic potting mix -new horizon. With a spagnum moss layer over the top then gravel.

I want to have a couple of swords in the new scape and I want to raise the 2 rear corners of the tank up where they will be planted to give them more feed and also help fill the back of the tank in. I've seen people using cardboard on youtube, but I just think won't it just go soft then spill the soil over onto the gravel sitting infront? what does everybody else use as a partition? Ive been considering using plant pots and using rocks in the hardscape to hide them.
