Over the last few days I've noticed I've started to get BBA algae, I've cut all leafs off with it just noticed it starting on the grass now.
Its a 180ltr tank, running co2, with about 60 tetras, i put in 45 cherry shrimp ( don't see them much)
just done a test PH 6.8 and KH is 6 so gives me 28.5ppm co2. Drop cheaper is showing green ish.
i do weekly 30 % water changes with remimerlised ro water.
Daily dose with Easylife Profito.
It has twin T5 tubes, it was on for 6 hrs a day with reflectors not taken them away and reduced to 5 hrs.
Ive just added a Tmc Power ball head for extra circulation. 3x small Siamese flying fox fish, which are going wild a pecking at it at times and few zebra snails.
Besides using the water changes maybe start to use ro mixed with tap water (I've only got a limited supply of ro water when i go to my lfs) what more can i do.
Do i, can i up the dose off my ferts. Is daily dosing better than weekly?
Is it worth swapping a white T5 tube for a blue one i have spare so the light intensity is not so bright.
