Being completely new to CO2 in aquaria I just have to confirm how to install it. So advance apology for probably stupid question.

I have purchased and received the following:

https://www.co2art.co.uk/collection...products/advance-complete-aquarium-co2-system

Now when I have to install, I screw the reg/solenoid part unto the CO2 bottle. I then make sure my solenoid is plugged in (ie. open), make sure my needle valve is open, and then open the bottle, all this to prevent breaking the gauges. Now I should be able to hear CO2 coming out, right? I can then unplug my solenoid, and connect to tubing/diffuser etc. and adjust my injection rate on needle valve. Is this procedure correct?

Am I correct in assuming I have to do this when I change bottle too?

If you felt your IQ drop reading this question I'm very sorry, just want to make 110% sure. It is after all a pressurised gas system.

It's not a stupid question at all. Not knowing about the right procedure when assembling the regulator to a CO2 canister, may result in irreversible damage to the equipment.

(Sorry CO2 Art) I usually check CO2 Supermarket Tutorials, just because they are easy to find. There is an "Instructions" section in this page, as well as a link for more details.

Thanx. It is exactly as I thought it would be. When working with something potentially dangerous and/or harmful to equipment if mishandled, I find it better to be safe than sorry.

And well, CO2supermarkets instructions DO seem more thorough than CO2arts;)
