So... new to the forum so though i'd best show you what i'm messing about with. I went for the fluval spec 19L as maidenhead aquatics had them on offer. Couldn't argue with £80 plus a free heater..Bargain!!

Tank spec:
Standard tank and filtration
Addition LED strips on original light unit and extra CFL 11w desk lamp
Pressurised Co2 injection (1-2bps) with all fancy glassware from china!
Fluval Stratum plant substrate
Weekly TNC complete with 50% w/c

Flora:
HC, Glosso, some kind of rotala and java moss

Fauna:
2 x CPD's (4 others died unfortunately)
2 x Purple Harlequin Rasbora (4 others decided they wanted to fly)
3 x RCS
1 x CRS

Things seem to be growing ok. Glosso is doing well and so is Rotala. HC seems to be spreading but also looks brown in places. Not sure about the ferts TBH. Thats the main thing I seem to struggle with concerning planted tanks so all advice is very welcome. I have just ordered one of those dry fert starter kits from this site so I was aiming to have a go at the EI dosing. Help will be required I think haha.

Anyway here are some photos from initial setup to present.

Thanks for looking.....Like I say all advice and suggestions are welcome...

Cheers..

oh additional note...the tank is about 2 months old. Thought I may have had full carpet coverage by now haha

Looks great mate is that more then one piece of wood?
i was thinking of getting one of those tanks for the kitchen side.

Yeah it's a load of roots just arranged in a fancy way. Should've maybe been a florist ha! They came from a huge piece of root I had. Snapped them off and went to work. I'd fully recommend the spec. Great little tank with loads of potential.
