Well hello to everyone i am a totaly new person in this forum, and i come here in search of help.

So,today i bought a Jewel Rio 240 totaly new from shop,i filled it with water plants and deko, the problem is that i didnt experienced with my other fish tank lights is that in particulary this one of Jewel 240 Rio, the lights go off stays off some time automaticaly and after some time it turns on and stays on all normal, like nothing happened, but after some time it turns off again and this goes on and on and on.

Does someone experienced this thing themselves? Is this normal? This is a defect or somekind of thing to prevent overheating?
I have loads of questions about this light unit hope someone can clear my mind a bit thank you.
And sorry for the bad english, its not my mother language.

Good air flow around the ballasts. A fan in the lid maybe. What is the ambient temperature in tank's room?
the problem is that the ballasts are inside the light unit as its Juwel its closed inside the plastic thing no airflow inside. and its around 35-40ºC
Sounds more like a defect to me.I'd contact the shop you bought it from.
First i contacted the Juwel website support to see if they can answer my question, and tomorow gonna show up in the shop and ask them its getting a bit on my nerves, thank god the tank is empty only plants and deko no fish inside.

Just wondered if someone in this forum had same problem and did find a solution.

I would think so too, it probably is an over heating fault but one that should not occur. Follow Nelsons advice.

So was in the shop they had a look to the light unit. And just changed it to totaly new one, now it works well.
I understand that it was something inside the light unit maybe with defect or something, but anyways thank to everybody for the quick help
