Attached is a photo of some in-vitro Rotala Macranda Type 2 “Pearl” in my 45L planted tank. The odd thing is some of it is growing with tiny leaves and other bits suddenly sprout these much larger slender leaves. I was actually expecting type 2 Pearl to look like the other photo I attached with the medium sized rounded leaves slightly curled with purple leaf edge. I seem to have something quite different.
Given there are som many “varieties” of R Macranda I wonder if the varietal form they develop can be hugely impacted by lighting and water params?
