Is rain water from the city area usuable?

As the title suggests, I don’t have any knowledge on chemistry and stuff.
I wanted to know if it is okay to collect rain water in a city area and does 0 TDS means no pollutant in rain water? Or should I treat them with anything before using?

I’d say you’re OK to use it. I used to use rainwater in Cardiff city Center. 0TDS means there are no dissolved particles in the water.

You might be interested in the <"Daphnia Bioassay">, it is a simple method for assessing your rain water.

Yep, I use it! I do live in SE20 London tho so a more suburban area with more parks and gardens around, idk if that makes a difference though!

0TDS means there are no dissolved particles in the water.

Another questions; does no TDS also means there are no chemical and is also drinkable after being boiled or am I missing something?

I’m not sure it means there no bacteria in the water, just no dissolved solids, I.e. no chemicals.
