is my pool filter sand too fine for a cap?

Hi there! I would like to set up a tank with soil substrate and sand cap. The sand I have is from ebay, 0.5mm-1mm 16/30 grade PFS

Would this be ok for a cap? Or would it be too fine and stop water getting to the soil?

I have MTS as well to help turn it over if that helps? What sort of depth cap should it be? Thanks

It will be fine. I've used silver sand in the past no issues.
