Hi guys some advice needed.
I am just wondering if my lighting is to strong or not enough. The tank is 400 litres 4foot across.

Lighting

Aqua one plant glo 120 led 49 watts.
Retro led combi 39 watts.
Lighting is on for 7 hours a day my tank has been set up for 6/7 weeks now and some of my anubias nana I think they are are getting brown patches on the leaves and some of them are getting yellow spots. Substrate I have tropical Aqua soil and I dose the aquascaper complete everyday 16ml also I dose 8ml of tnc liquid carbon everyday any help would be great thanks. I will post pics aswel cheers Lee. Forgot to add I also have lots of various crypts and I got the lutea hobbit which melted in the first few days but never recovered. Any reason why cheers lee

Looking at FTS I’d consider tank to be lightly planted so adjust fertilizer accordingly, also consider if plants are slow growth or fast growth ...

That’s a lot of light (or maybe not ...) for a non CO2 injected tank with what seem to be mostly low-moderate light plants

What are actual tank dimensions?
LED wattage - not overall, but the actual emitters? (eg, 0.2w/0.3w/1w etc SMD etc ... even within a given wattage, LEDs may be low or high intensity
Also internal reflectors & lens will greatly impact light distribution & intensity?

Are you seeing much growth - new leafs, spathes etc?

Brown spots on Anubias is often from leaf damage from drying at some stage (during shipping, or while planting, water changes etc)

Re C hobbit - it’s not unusual for crypts to melt, some species are much more resilient than others, as long as root/rhizome has not melted it will come back - but make sure it’s not heavily shaded ... some of the smaller crypts seem to prefer more light (& CO2) to thrive

I’d add in a fast growing stem plant to monitor tank conditions, eg Rotala Vietnam H’ra, H zosterfolia

Thank you for the reply tank dimensions are as follows width 18inch height 2ft length 5ft as for emitters how would I found out what they are as I just know the wattage. There is new growth on the crypts and my java moss is growing ok the java fern hasn't changed that I know of. Cheers lee

So is 16ml that I'm dosing is to much then? Also is the liquid carbon ok. I am planning on putting more plants in soon as I can afford. Cheers lee

If the LED specification isn’t available on the unit or accompanying product information, begin by emailing the manufacturer or calling & requesting tech support

Is the 16ml EA fertilizer too much? - I don’t know - it’s not available locally, I use Tropica Specialised & Premium and would not be dosing 16ml daily for the amount of plant mass I see in your tank 🙂
(EA fertilizer is an AIO product & I believe marketed as being more concentrated than some of the competing products)

For increased plant mass, a single 1-2-Grow container of either of the plants I mentioned is LOTs 😉
(Same goes for Hygrophila corymbosa 'Siamensis 53B‘ if that plant is more to your taste - I just find that the 2 species I mentioned are very quick to respond to changing light, nutrient levels)

I rarely use Liquid Carbon (& only Seachem Excel) so not much help there 😵
I’d just follow dosing instructions - my feeling is that it’s promary effectiveness is as an algecide, while some plant species can utilize this as an alternate carbon source, no one seems to want to invest the research in determining its effectiveness (seems a fairly trivial experiment using Carbon thirteen 😉 assuming one has access to appropriate equipment ... )

Thanks for the reply mate I will lower the ferts then. Also will look into my lighting I bit deeper thank you.

Cheers lee
