Hello, beside the algae and snails free, is there any advantages buying in vitro plant, better than pots plants ? thx

All depends what type of plants in my experience. With stems I would say yes the advantage is you get a massive amount of plantlets for your money and it doesn’t take long until you have a large plant mass. Stuff like cryptocoryne, unless it’s a rare species I wouldn’t bother. They take an age to get to a decent size and melt isn’t uncommon.

Cheers

Some fish like my Corydoras specialise in uprooting in vitro plants because their root system is almost non existent when first planted.

Whenever I am doing some tank maintenance and replanting, my Corys are not shy and will always come over to have a look and start digging, maybe they associate my hand in the tank with food..

I agree with Conort2, stem and carpeting plants are really good value in vitro but slower growing species don't seem to do as well.
