Hi all I am a newby here but I have a issue of a dark sooty looking algae ?
my set up is a 180ltr recently fitted with the twinstar 900sa v2 on a timer 70% 8hr with ramp up & down period which replaced a nicrew
also use co2, filtration is a oase 350 thermo with a ehiem skimmer helping with circulation and have started a more disciplined fert tnc complete regime upping from 3m to 10ml set up was a rescape which is about 5 months old some older plants & some new the algae does not rub off with fingers any advice would be gracefully received

Hi
Looks not to bad, I would reduce the lighting period to 6 hours......you should be dosing 18ml per dose 2 to 3 times per week!
50% water change per week if possible.
Drop checker should be Green before lights come on!
Looks like dark diatom algae, not the best of images;)
Remove the affected leaves to encourage new fresh growth.
Use some of your stem plants as a floating plant....
hoggie
