ID MOSS ?

Hello. I found some moss, is it aquatic moss? To me it looks like Christmas moss, or maybe Peacock moss?

It's pretty much impossible to tell since there are so many. Also, Christmas moss I'm lead to believe is a Asian native so it's unlike to be that.

You could try and grow it emerse, A member here (Luke) has claimed to have grown some emersed but has never to my knowledge provided any proof in the form of photographs at set points of time.

i am growing this in an emersed setup, which i also got mine local. i have grown mine in a submerged setup before a while back and it grew very fast. i might try it again actually.

any pictures ? and how did you grow yours ? how much light ect

no pics sorry. but it was grown in an emersed setup with little light, a few inches of water with no filter, ferts or co2 so i guess it should be pretty easy. mine was floating

When i grew this particular (or very similar) moss it had great initial growth, but then stopped growing entirely.
Ill be sure to get some photos up of some mosses when im home 😉
