how to plant nymphaea tiger lotus

any ideas on how to plant nymphaea?

do you put the bulb covered in the substrate? or leave it out of the substrate?

Don't cover the whole bulb or it will die, try to get just under half of the bulb in the substrate.... Any roots should so get a good grip and hold it in.

I just laid my tubers on the surface and the roots found their way down into the substrate.
