Hi all,

I've just started my planted tank up.

Now it's been running for about a month and all it seems to be doing is growing towards the lights bit not carpeting.

Does this take more time than I'm giving it?
I just see all that's beautiful carpets and I want one lol!

I'm injecting Co2 and using profito, ferro and luquid carbon and I trim the hairgrass once every 2 weeks so I keep it around 1-2 cms.

My tank is the 30litre aquael setup with an 11w florescent bulb, however I'm looking to purchase the chirios aquasky for it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

IME not all dwarf hair grass is...well...dwarf😵
I've grown it in the past and it hasn't needed trimming at all, and it carpeted very quickly...in about 6 weeks
On the other hand the stuff I recently brought (sold as the dwarf variety) is pretty much stunted hair grass which requires regular trimming😕
That said, the key to success for me was massive flow, high light, and high CO2...

I'm.not sure how much more Co2 I can go tbh. The DC is near yellow towards the end of the cycle. I will be chaging my.light which will also have dimmer controls etc. I have lots of flow which is on min atm but I could turn it up?
