Not sure it looks like wood to me.
Theres so many way to attach plants since they basically grow hydroponically in a high tech tank ,they really dont need a substrate.
If you first have moss growing on some rock, it's very easy to add plants in/on that moss. Metal mesh would work fine too, just with moss you won't see that mesh at all.
Yes...all broken and I don't know why...
Anyway, plants in our tanks only really need roots to anchoring themselves and that's what they will do in moss, Java moss would do nicely.
