How big is Flourite 'Dark'?

hello all,

I want a darker substrate in my tank and this seemed good. But I am concerned with it being too large of a grain.. If the grain size is too large, would I have trouble planting some plants? i.e stems / eleocharis?

Has anyone had trouble with stone sizes being too large?

It does look like a larger size. It almost looks like shale or stone chips. I would think stems and eleocharis would be OK, as there roots can be poked into the substrate with a set of planting forceps. HC on the other hand... Well, that's hard enough in fine substrates!

If you were worried about the size you could try Flourite black Sand. I have this in my community tank and it is great for plantig things like Eleocharis!🙂
