Hose position?

I’ve always positioned intake and output hoses at the back of my Aquariums. I’ve recently noticed though that some cabinets have cutouts to fit the hoses at the end of the Aquarium, and some indeed do choose to do this. Not so aesthetically pleasing but probably easier for maintenance? What’s your choice?

Think that's because many aquariums are against walls or space is limited to actually keep hoses out of sight and a bit awkward for maintenance, plus there is a move toward lily pipes these days

I am not too concerned about the pipes showing as long as they are clean. My 100L has pipes at the back, and my 250L has the pipes at the side - the latter due to lilly pipes.

George F has his Co2 cylinder in the middle of his tanks - it's quite industrial, and I even like that approach!

The new Grey Silcone hoses on my BM350 actually look quite nice so with the stainless pipes, so I could go with having them on show on a 90P I guess.

It's to do with having a clean shot front to back. With the equipment to the side then, with glassware etc, the scape is nearer being ready for that final shot, whilst still in operation.

Personally, if I wanted a final shot I'd remove all equipment, so maybe kind of irrelevant. However, I think some, maybe with galleries and other such needs, may want that near to final shot for the majority of the tanks operation.

I've got both glassware are more traditional equipment, such as dark grey and black inlet and outlets, and can pick and choose. I personally don't see the point of stainless equipment unless it's for show purposes.
