After 30 years, I am going to restart my planted aquarium. At the moment I am doing research to catch up on 30 years of innovations. I am going to have to test my 75cm (w) 29cm (d) 26cm (h) aquarium. It has not had water in it for the whole 30 years, so I would not be surprised if it just falls apart. I have not even looked at the sealant for obvious weakness. Then I am going to put it in the bath (with a blanket underneath) and slowly fill it over a couple of days, right up to full and leave it over night. I have already started a list of equipment I would like. Got to do a plant and fish list yet. I would like to setup a South American theme tank and will have to find out what plants and fish come from South America. If anyone knows of any good reference websites, please let me know. Also any recommendations as to how to go about checking my tank, I would be greatful. I am expecting a loud bang in the middle of the night as the sealant gives way.
