Hi everyone!
My name is Susanne and I’m a completely newbie to aquariums and aquascaping. I sort of inheritied an aquarium from my little son, started to google how to take care of it and found images on aquascapes - and was lost! I love these beautiful aquascapes and I would like so much to be able to create one myself… So I’m watching videos and reading books right now but it feels a bit scary to start to build it… I have begun to buy all the stuff it seems I need, but I have so many questions, both about lightning and ”stupid” questions like what to do with the fishes while scaping, and so on… When I’ve been asking these questions to stores online, they won’t help me so I really hope this is a community where even ”stupid” questions could be asked and answered…

Welcome. You have come to the right place. Lots of real experts in all aquatic knowledge here. All to willing to help.

Post what size the tank is, what equipment you have, what equipment you think you need, what fish you have and anything else like fertilizer/water treatment/ local water quality.

The experts on here will sort out what you need and what your local fish shop is just trying to sell you. Give a clue as to budget, low, med or high.

Pics of tank as it is at the moment would help. Don't worry, everyone will be gentle. We all started with little knowledge and big mistakes.
