This forum often pops up on searches I do, so after reading a few posts I thought it worth joining. I’m into planted tanks, terrariums & vivariums and currently am about 6 months into a semi-emersed growing project.
The original intent of the project was to find a way to help TC plants gain strength so they would have a better chance to transition to submersed growing, after having lost far too many that failed to transition.
That’s still the primary goal but now I’ve expanded to some terrarium plants and just producing more plant material faster than I could growing aquatics submersed.
With air rather than water around them, in very high humidity for the most part, they grow much faster, which is a savings over buying more than one plant or TC cup & has given me success with a few species that I never had any luck with before.
It’s been quite interesting so far but there is still much to learn. There is always more to learn!
