I'm Dan. I'm from Brisbane in Australia. I've been aquascaping for a few years and UKAPS was one of my favourite sights to visit during the formative stages of my obsession with planted tanks. I lost contact with the site for a while but I thought i'd take the time to join up to the this excellent forum. I'm current on the Aquariumlife forum in Australia.
Here are some of my prior and current scapes
Current Scape: Mr Aqua Bookshelf
Prior scape: 1200 x 300 x 200 shallow (ADA 1200f clone) - recently pulled down (unwinnable algae)
I loved this scape, very sad to see it go
Current scape: The 1200 shallow tank - scape 2 (is in DSM currently)
All the aqua soil is in tights, DSM seems to be working fine. Planting has been made on top of and into the soil, lots of moss has been used but also have tried out HC, Pogo H, Erios, UG to see how they go in a tight-bound setup.
Hope you like my aquascapes. I commissioned that 1200 shallow tank mostly due to inspiration from a few excellent shallow scapes on this forum and the 1200f scapes done by the green machine (esp. Tributary scape). I can't believe i didn't sign up here back in 2013.
