Evening all, I'll assume I'm not the first to have a planted tank, and then went to marine, and then back again...
Having been persuaded by the family to switch to marine from planted some 7-8 years ago, I'm going to come back to planted.
Marine is great, but it's too much of a headache, and whilst the fish are stunning, all the problems just seem to outweigh the enjoyment.
I'm going to convert to a planted tank in the summer.
I'm currently doing research and getting lots of idea. I have all the gear, but no idea.
I used to have a 4x2x2 tank which was a Dennerle equipped system, including the substrate, and under substrate heating cable (which I still have).
Looking forward to going planted again, pretty keen on the jungle style, as I had this before.
This is my old tank, a real jumble, but I loved it. It's a very old video from when mobile phones ran on candle power....
