Hi folks!
I was in a pet store with the family to get some cat food & spent most of the time in the aquatic section looking at Aquarium starter kits. Got inspired and started doing some research. Found ADA on YouTube and was blown away. I’d never seen anything like that before.
So here I am, a total novice, still researching. I heard about Diana Walstad somewhere and was intrigued by her ideas & methods, almost bought her book on Amazon (it’s still in my basket...) but it’d probably go over my head.
Now I’m at a point where I am going to sell off stuff from a few other expensive hobbies (cigars, bicycles) and splash out (!) on some new kit and take it from there. Not decided what to put in it yet though.
I’m a kitchen designer by trade, I studied BA photography 20 years ago so naturally layouts & composition are my thing but I know nothing about aquatic plants, animals or chemistry... more research required... Hoping to use some found local materials and try and make something beautiful...
Cheers
James
