I'm Mick from west yorks, I've been keeping cold water and tropical fish for around 8 years plus now, I recently decided to have a go at a planted setup, well it all started by me adding live plants to my setup, some was dying while others was thriving. This was now now mission to get them all to live. Bought myself a co2 set up and ferts. I am running my 55g tank on 2 Aqua one aquis 1200 external canister filters, one on a spray bar and the other creating a steady flow.
I have quite a heavy load of fish in the tank but there all happy and haven't lost any due to illness in over 3 year now( touch wood)
