Hi all, I'm totally new to the hobby and I'm really looking forward to building and maintaining my first aquascape(s).
Originally for 2022 I was planning to build a big koi pond and filter house . Alas, these plans have been parked for the foreseeable future - my wife has cancer and requires some remedial spine surgery. So taking on a 6 month pond build, whilst juggling the house, the kids and the wife's recovery would be way to much achieve. So, I spent the Christmas holidays mulling it over and looked for something else, when I stumbled upon aquascaping. Wow, there's some great content on youtube! Super inspirational and has really has got me excited.
I used to keep tropical fish as kid, but as an adult I've never liked the idea of plastic plants and neon gravel. I am quite green fingered so really looking forward to finding some balance with some aquariums over the coming years.
What else can I say?! I'm really looking forward to starting my scaping journey 🙂
