New planted tank owner from Coventry here. Had some previous experience with fish husbandry and breeding funky genetically altered danios for science, and a fish related degree. But this is my first time looking after plants and keeping fish as pets!
Been lurking here a lot over the past three months and have read much great advice about planted aquariums! Already managed to convince the significant other to get another after she got so attached to the Cory cats

Here are my two tanks!
Started of with a dirted Superfish Scaper 60 a few months ago. But found I’m too fiddly with moving plants and making a mess so decided I needed something different…
Have since progressed to a bigger tank that needs some time to grow in after being settled a few weeks. Substrate is fluorite sand and with DIY CO2, so looking to dose dry salts after my current bottle that came with the first kit runs out!
