Firstly, a very warm welcome to UKAPS!

As you have just started your "very first planted aquarium in my life", I suggest that you try to do plenty of reading of threads and posts before getting your hands wet. Every hour that you spend reading will save 24 hours of frustration if things should not go to plan!

Can't agree more. I've actually spent last two months on YouTube and a number of dedicated pages. Finally decided to make the first step and bought aquarium etc. Will try to post a journal.
