Day 1 in my photo. I'll do updates every week or 2 when the change is noticeable.
Anxious to know what you all think? 😋
As there is only me viewing this tank at home be great for others to see it too..
I think it's ace 😎 but that's because I made it. Not expecting any awards but i did my best with what i had available. I also tried to keep the golden ratio arching from right to left.
Your thoughts are all welcome even if you want to slate me 😅

Looking nice. Dramatic! Totally with you on wanting to share with like minded folks; it feels like so few people get to enjoy your creation when a tank is at home. I once imagined doing a scape-crawl, like a pub crawl of local fellow scapers. Maybe a good idea for a future Ukaps event...
I'd like to see it grow in. I wonder if the dark areas will be a challenge? In my limited experience, even plants that are 'low light' in reality prefer not to be in shade. To me, the right hand side is a bit heavy/dark but that may change with plant growth. If I were to suggest a tweak it would maybe be to try to break up the path a bit, or make it meander.
Keep us posted!
What's your fish selection? And give us some specs! (We all love a good hardware geek out)

Nice one Richard 👍 yeah a crawl would be cool, obviously pictures don't do any justice to the effort put in to making these. I'm yet to go to a show room and have a closer look in person, so that's on my list and I'll keep an eye on events here too.

My light is Plant 3.0 and it was dimming when I took my photo, so you can actually see alot more of the shaded parts and the definition of the tree is a lot more visible. So I'll capture that in my next pic.

As for the Hardware... I have the Fluval Roma 240 tank, I just really like the look of it, had it 8 years now. I stripped the T5 lights out and modified the hood so my 3.0 would fit, and it does Nicely! Also lifts the light higher for much nicer spread.

Also switched out the 306 filter for Oase Bio master 600 which is great. I've loaded that with Matrix on the middle 3 layers, bottom is foam, top layer is Purigen and foam. Doing a great job.

Co2 is the best I could buy from Co2 Supermarket paired with an inline atomiser, and local beer cannister that will last 12 month on 3 bubbles/s

Hardscape I used Tetra Complete substrate as my base layer 1cm across the entire tank, topped with 3 bags of Tropica Substrate clay based soil, capped with a light coloured gravel.
I wanted to go higher at the back but I was to giddy to scape to go get more 😅

I used dragon stone and bog wood, not sure what the wood is called cant remember off top.
Plants I've used a few but you'll get to see them as they grow in...

Fish I'm undecided??? I have like 30 gold lazer Cory's that came out of this tank now in my 120 tank, so a few of them will be going in, I wanted a pair of Apistogramma Cockatoo? But I'm unsure if they're suitable?. Need to check. Otto gold Edward's and Loads of shrimp, because "Shrimpin ain't easy." Gump... 😂

Any suggestions highly welcome!
