Hi,

I purchased some Hemianthus (Micranthemum) Micranthemoides a few days ago, split it into bunches as advised with the aim of carpeting and it's looking a little brown and yellow at the bases of the plants.

Is that normal when the plant is so new to a tank and just takes time to recover from transit? Or could it be down to light levels, co2, etc? I had read that it was fairly easy to grow.

Thanks

You can see the growth of H micranthemoides vs H callitrichoides 'Cuba'

in this layout 65 video from Tropica

If you've high light & CO2 & trim appropriately, you might get a mid-height "carpet" with H m but it's technically challenging ;)

Just look for new growth, you can trim & replant the submerse growth - it grows rapidly & recovers from heavy trims as long as suitable conditions
