Hemianthus Micranthemoides melting

Hi,

Does overdosing Seachem Excel cause the hemianthus micranthemoides to melt? If not then what is it causing it to melt?

No changes in CO2 or lighting or nutrients the past months....so NO its NOT CO2 deficiency! 🙂

As for the problem itself i´m gonna sit and watch... cause i allready burn my fuses with this melt thing...not even Tropica point a cause. Or care..
Hope you have more lucky than me finding the cause alltough i have my own answer to this...

I would say that putting Hemianthus micranthemoides in an aquarium causes it to melt!

In my limited experience it's harder than other plants I've tried. It's in Tropica's Advanced category after all- a CO2 junkie! Pedro must be a green-fingered guru!

I no doubt will try again as it looks gorgeous. My best attempt lasted about a month before CO2 deficiency aka melting.

I had HC in one scape where it did nice, I also added excel (double amount) in that tank as I had some BBA at the starting up period...HC didn't seem to be bothered by it.

Maybe more bio mass than a month ago, so more uptake of CO2 available in the water, you didn't up the quantity of your liquid carbon --> so Carbon deficiency.

Try to add more liquid carbon.

I have this plant in my tank and runs beautifully.
Never had a issue with her. And grows fast as hell.

That is what i can say about her.
