Help with plant layout.

Never done an island scape before and struggling to work out how to plant the stems at the back.

Do I go one plant type at the back, or 2 or 3?!

I originally thinking a mix of Ceratopteris thalictroides and Heteranthera zosterifolia

But scared it’ll look unnatural with just two background plants.

How would you plant it up?

I should add, there will be vals planted in the back, with a tiger lotus in the mid ground.

Love the look! I've got a similar island layout being setup at the moment and I'm planting about 6 different species in the back! I'm a fan of the 'tidy jungle' look. Granted your tank is smaller but I think you could get away with 3 or even 4 if you played your cards right.

I dont think number of different plants is as important as plant as to be replecated on each side for best effect. Thats what seems to be the advice
