Hiya all.. have a cold water tank for couple of years now and just bought a new fluval Roma 240. Heard so much about the fx6 and bought it and now connection Is a nightmare. The tank comes with a fluval 307 filter and pre drilled holes inside the tank for the heads. Is there anyone out there who has connected the fx6 pipes from under the tank? It leaks from the top cause of the big pipes. Please help.

You've two issues that can be resolved.
The first one is you need to lose the 16mm tails that the 307 pipe would originally connect to, this is causing back pressure. The second issue is trying to seal the ribbed flexi hose that comes as standard with the fx6, I'm assuming you've cut the rubber off to shorten the hose,?
Getting a secure seal around that will be difficult with a jubilee clip.
The simplest option would be to get some 22mm id tube and connect that from filter to inlet and outlet.
