Hi, i have a sodastream co2 set up with this co2 art reg & solenoid.

Regulator:

Solenoid:

http://www.co2art.co.uk/collections/solenoids/products/co2-solenoid-valve-for-planted-aquariums

I run this through a fluval bubble counter at 2bps with a fluval disc diffuser running the co2 into my tank. This was working pretty well, but i wanted the clutter out my tank and bought an inline diffuser.

Problem is, when it is all set up and running i can only get one bubble every couple of seconds through my bubble counter no matter how much i open up the valve on the co2.

Is there any way to increase the pressure on this at all? I just put a new sodastream bottle on this too so that isn't the problem.

Any help would be great as i'm extremely inexperienced with inline diffusers.

Thanks.

Yeah I've switched back as to not damage my plants at all. Hopefully it can be adjusted. I'll email them just now, thank you.

Oh sorry should have said, it is this diffuser:

I contacted Karol at CO2 art and said that the reg I had would struggle to run that diffuser as it is borderline on pressure. So he offered a refund on my reg and 5% off if I bought the Dual Stage Regulator they do, that runs at 5bar and that this could run it easily.

I needed an excuse to upgrade anyway. The one I had was really basic.

Yeah i seen that too, I just though as the dual stage was on offer I'd get that. Was on offer for 49.99 so got it for 47.50 free delivery and will get £20 back for my single stage so effectively only costing me £27.50, bit of a bargain I'd say.

Now I see your talking about the price of the diffuser lol.

I didn't pay that, I got that one from eBay brand new for £15☺

I got the one in the link sorry man, must take a higher working pressure.

I've only used the later type. the one you have was/is very popular but the quality of the ceramic was a bit "hit or miss" and some units needed much higher working pressure to work
I nearly bought the older type but Karol at co2art posted about the new up so i got that
I just wish id bought the bigger size so i could try it on the inflow pipe

Ah I see, yeah I had that reg on it and it just wouldnt put through anymore than 2 bps which isnt good enough.
Yeah I'll probably upgrade soon to the co2art one, their products are top notch.
Would it not annoy you the noise that your filter would make with co2 build up?

True, I just hate the noise, and it makes the misses moan so anything for an easy life☺
