I've experienced these before, I think it's a kind of bag-cocoon formed by the larvae of some species of gnat. They only appeared during warm weather for me, accompanied by the presence of some adult flies (which were very small themselves). I haven't seen them since I introduced fish to my aquarium.

?
I really didn´t understand. Gnat? How?

Thanks,

Apologies Paulo, I don't know the exact name for these insects, Gnat simply seemed most appropriate as the flies are very tiny, and many gnats have aquatic larval stages. They may have entered your home through an open door or window, and found your aquarium to colonise. As far my experiences with the ones that build tubes out of mulm go, they're harmless if unsightly. If you have any spare fish that you may be able to transfer over to the tank, see if they cut down their population - it seems to have worked for me. The flies themselves are so small (around 1 mm) that it's very difficult to stop them from getting to your tank. Either way, they're not something to particularly worry about.

Hello Finn,

First of all let me thank you for your kindest help.

I introduce 10 Corydoras Sterbay, 5 PLatys ( 1 male and for female) and 50 red Cherrys.

Let´s see what happens,

Meankwhile i took some more close photos.

In the plant you see how these looks like.
The other photo is when i rubish with my hand, it turns to brown dust.

Best regards friend.

Hi Nelson.
I´m going to take a good read on those threads. Many many thanks.

Meanwhile i check the filter and it was all impregnant of this..
I had to wash it all the way.

I hope the water from the tank i filled it up to replace the bacteriological component otherwise i know what´s coming next..

Let´s wait and hope.

Best regards

Good morning,

According to this last Nelson´s link it is exactly "Chironomid (midge fly larva)"

No doubt. That is exactly what i have in the tank.

Yesterday i also trimmed plants the most i could, cause if i try to rubish them the consequence was spread all over the tank this larva. And once again the Inflow would suck it upo into it. And i do not intend that.
So i huge trimed was done.

I also put H2O2 on the roock and wood.
This morning the tank was almost cleaned 😉 Stones and rocks with a brown dust of the larva dissolving.

Guess they don´t go along with H2O2.

So i´m think i´m on the right path.

Best regards and a very huge thank you to all of you.

Good morning,

Just to let you know that the problem is completely solved.

In more or less 24 hours the tank is absolutely clean.

Since the H2O2 burn the "thing", and it starts to dissolve, the Corydoras and the Shrimps jumped all over it and it´s completely vanish of the tank.

I now also regret the trim i did. it wasn´t really necessary. But i wish i did know now what i didn´t know then 😉

Sometimes worst things happen so that much better ones can come up.

Before this i used to have the normal green aspect in the rocks. But These things were eating that. And they did.
And now with this final treatment i not only get rid of thme but also the green aspect.

My rocks seem to come yesterday from the store 😉 brilliant!

A big hug to all.
